Some whopper cells out there this afternoon big hail and big winds occurring in them no doubt......
Yeah there were some fairly decent storms yesterday. Hoping we can get some good "afternoon thunderstorm" days here in the next few weeks with temps hitting mid to upper 80s by the weekend.

I got back from an out-of-state trip last night and found 1.29" on my rain meter. Neighbors report there was no hail and only a bit of thunder in these-here parts.

Some absolute awesome ligtnight strikes this evening. Haven’t felt the thunder in a long time but had one that had to strike just a few hundred feet away. The shockwave rolled through big time! Great storm.

Here, too! I have to work pretty much all night, so I was trying to catch an evening nap to get ready. Oh well, so much for that plan. Who could sleep through such an artillery barrage?
Even so, I wound up with only .34" of rain -- a small harvest given how much noise attended it.
We're finally at the legitimate start of our thunderstorm season -- a happy time every year -- and the coming week is looking like it might bring multiple possibilities. Here's to finally catching sight of a bit of structure, like IN THE DAYTIME for a change? I'm a dreamer. -lol-

yeah models look very "stormy" throughout this month and a couple tropical threats? could be an interesting start to summer!
Gfs has somer serious widespread rain totals over the next 16 days. Upwards of 5+ almost state wide. It's not one big system either it's daily showers and storms.
