This weekends high winds almost resulted in a plane crash at RDU. To me it looks like he was going to slow and maybe lost lift and slammed into the ground? Very lucky and I'm sure it was terrifying for the passengers.

Wow crazy video Steve. You can see multiple planes being bounced around from the wind. We had several gusts in the 40s at my house which was pretty impressive.
I’m not expecting anything Sunday but the German model had a nice 1-3” snow for all of NC. I doubt any would stick well but hey I’d love to see some flakes flying.

Models really beefing up the Sat night into Sunday snow threat......if the overnight runs keep bringing it then we may need a thread for it tomorrow.....crazy that the most snow threads of the winter are coming in March....

Yeah it’s a legit threat but Kuchera says 4:1 ratio so probably be abt 4inch max. Temps will be insanely close too... but hey maybe some more flakes!
Okay folks, may we finally declare winter to be over now? With a forecast high of 74 today and 81 tomorrow, I'm afraid I may suffer a heat stroke, lol.

LOL....spring sming of course this would easily be the biggest April snowfall on record....mostly since it has only snowed in April a handful of times though 2 of those resulted in trace to half inch type accumulations and thats just in the last 40 years or so. Still this map shows it snowing 2-3" and temps are upper 20's....its wrong it has to be that just doesnt happen in April still crazy to see stuff like that inside of 10 days on any model this time of year.
