So looking back at the 3 day history for pgv I figured right around 16 hours that pgv was in the single digits. We had roughly 6 hours Friday and a full 10 hours saturday. Add the single digits earlier in the week and we are looking at a significant amount of time in the single digits which is pretty cold.
PGV hit 34 at 11:20 this morning...if it wasnt for that 4-5 hrs we were above freezing Wed before the storm it would have easily been the longest consecutive below freezing streak in history...this is easily the coldest 7-8 day period I can ever recall, just the shear number of hrs at or below 20 degrees was impressive, not to mention we probably spent more hrs at or below 10 this week than we have the previous 10-20 yrs combined lol. Finally lets not forget the 2-3 hrs we spent below zero for only the second time in living memory. Add 4-6" of snowpack to it and it was pretty much the perfect winter weather week. I however will be ok with 60-70's for a few days before we go back to a more normal pattern.
