The WPC still has 3" of rain painted over my house for the coming week. They're nothing if not persistent. Keep saying the same thing every day, and one of these years you'll be right.
Hey Tim I like the new profile pic! Which hurricane is that? It looks like Ophelia?
BINGO!
Ophelia (80mph Cat 1) it is, and what a great storm she was. Crawling up the coast, Wilmington was in the western eye wall much of the day. We really got raked by that one.
Yeah I remember Ophelia quite well! At the time I was living in Greenville and we never saw much more than a passing shower or too. I remember watching Jim Cantore get thrashed around though down near the Wilmington area and how the eyewall continually rode up along the coast slowly.
Bozart tomorrow is your lucky day, I just know it! You'll end up with at least .25 after tomorrow

I see this morning that WPC has shaved the 7-day forecast for my location from 3" down to 2" … so at least it is getting closer to the true figure all the time.

That band down along the coast is teasing you Boz, some places down there got 3-4" already could end up with 6-8" by dark if it doesn't get moving inland....
Just picked up .01". That brings my Bonnie total to .13". She just won't stop giving.
Hey you still have tomorrow to pick up another .12 and get the grand total of .25 I forecasted for you
Dry here in Knightdale today but a few storms nearby. Looks like the remnants of Bonnie will hang out for another day or two before finally moving away.
Big wall of heavy rain has moved through little Washington and into Pitt County, heading west. I'm just waiting to see in what fashion it splits apart and goes around either side of me.
I am gonna guess we had at least 1" of rain in the last 45 mins here at work....maybe more, back towards my house the Doppler is showing 2" in the last hr....

Dry here in Knightdale but a few storms approaching... Not sure if they'll make it or not. Bozart, looks like the rain may have split around you again? Greenville got hammered with some rain 1-2" easy for most areas.
And on the fifth day the skies opened and Bonnie gave her bounty: an addition .08", bringing my day's total to .15" and my five-day Bonnie total to a mind-melting .21".

Truly I am blessed.
Hey one more day to get to my .25 forecast for your area Bozart, the skies are finally opening up!
Meanwhile little Bonnie's remnants are flaring up quite nicely tonight and I wouldn't be surprised to see this renamed again. LLC has tucked right under the convection and is actually going to move fairly close to the coast.

Bonnie's remnants look quite impressive on radar and satellite right now. Imo should be reclassified as a TD or TS especially with the proximity to land.
