Ramping up here now to the strongest winds of the night. Also lost power so you guys with internet will have to update me on latest trends with HRRR. It showed worst being 11pm-3am. Let's see what happens.
power cant last long at this rate, if the winds stay like this for the next 2-3 hrs or longer its gonna be lights out for most of us....I get a brownout every min or two now it seems....

It's really rough here continual TS force gusts, dies down for a few seconds then a big gust comes. Easily 45-50mph gusts. If HRRR is right winds will increase next few hours to over 70-75mph by midnight and after.

Getting a few good gusts maybe 45-50 but the overall wind has died down and now only getting a quick burst in the gusts instead of the long rumbling heavy duty gusts like earlier.

I guess the heavy wind you were seeing earlier is over me now. I would expect winds to pick up again by midnight for you though, if HRRR is to be believed. We shall see. It's done well so far.
IF we see a crest that high then we can expect schools closed for a week or two as they use them for shelters etc, I wont be able to get to work cause they will close all the bridges and the roads near the plant will be under water....hopefully it wont get that high.

Raliegh got hammered and the head waters took a ton of water in today. Widespread 6-10 inches of rain over the entire basin. I could easily see this getting to mid 20 foot ranges.

Ive never seen this tiny creek in my neighborhood get out of its banks..... it was up at least 6 feet rushing over the road... NEVER seen anything like that.
Tar river at rocky mount is set to crest 3 feet above their record crest. The water level there has gone from 4 feet to 24 feet today alone so thats 20 foot of water that its already gone up. That water has to come down stream and its gonna be bad. Best thing to do in the morning guys is go get plenty of bottled water! Water treatment plant can be threatened and if they have to shut that down we could lose water.
Really laid up here again.....can barely hear the roar in the house right now, a hr ago the whole house was shaking lol...maybe we finally done with the serious stuff, and I still got power woohooo
