Just getting dumped on right. Gonna pass two inches real soon. Could end up up 2.5 or more easily at this rate and with the heavy stuff still back by Wilson.
2.2" in the gauge....still raining might get 2.5" before it ends
Lol Bozart gets .22 and you get 2.2! Tomorrow is going to be a wet day radar is lighting up already I could see a widespread 4-8" of rain and locally 10-12" where banding sets up.

I'm not as far from bozart and I had 2.5 last night and theres standing water everywhere right now. Some of the hi-res models are coming in pretty wet at the 06z runs. Some are well over 10 inches.
Lots of variation in the mesoscale models on where the big rains set up. WRF-NNM Have it over northern coastal plains with some crazy totals. 12k nam has it over us as well. The 4knam has it in blotches all over the place with the heaviest over southern areas and the HRRR is crazy high with totals and has it over southern coastal plains.

Someone will see a foot from this, I would say a stripe from Greenville to Kinston and points SE of here have the best shot. Looks like it may be a sharp cutoff to the NW somewhere. Probably right over Bozart's house and mine lol.

You need to read the wpc excessive rainfall disco. Really interesting read where they mention past precedence for 15 inch amounts over the carolinas.
The components are there. PWATS at 2.3 a stalled front and a tropical system to our east.
I say greenville gets 8.8 inches from hermine added to my 2.5 last night

Yeah I could see 10-15" of rain across the coastal plain. Perfect recipe for it with all the ingredients mentioned. I wish this system would phase off our coast instead of NJ lol then we could see some legit winds. The same areas recovering from Sandy a few years ago look like they are the prime target.
After a 3.99" Hermine event total at my house, today I've got 79 degrees and 58 dewpoint on a gentle north breeze under steel-blue skies with strong sunshine.
Couldn't have asked for a better start to September 2016.
