Yeah the 90's is gonna feel too hot later this week but it will not last more than a week, then big changes to highs in the low to mid 70's with the upper plains and GL regions seeing their first frost and freezes by the end of the GFS run...after this next cool down I suspect the warm ups will be fewer and we might not get 90 again the rest of the summer...
I was disheartened this morning to find the HRRR blossoming convection at around this hour of the evening, all east of me, with nothing in my nape o' the neck.

Dang if it didn't nail it, too.
No rain there either Bozart? Not a drop here, a storm stalled to my NW and rained itself out then more reformed SE of here.

Im cool with the dry, the latest GFS is pretty dry, it also has the last 4 days of the run with highs in the 60's and lows in the upper 40's to 50....
I'm ready for the cooler weather at least, fall can't get here soon enough. It's going to be a tricky winter forecast this year. We are entering a low sunspot cycle which typically promotes cooler winters yet we are in a weak La Niña which typically is warm around here. However this isn't your typical La Niña as evidenced by the tropical season and high shear everywhere so who knows what will really happen.
