Nothing Monday, and nothing worth staying awake to see Tuesday. And after that ... nothing. Except another $500 LP gas bill out of my end-of-month pay check. All the early-season predictions were bullcrap, like they always are.
Yeah, you could say I'm about fed up with this winter.

Its gonna warm up after this 7-10 day colder period, first half of Feb looks above normal.....so then we will be either hoping to thread the needle in that warm pattern or hoping the last cold flip late Feb early March has a redemption storm with it.....I always like the period from Feb 24-Mar 10th or so.....seems like there is always a chance for a big storm in that period.....2 of the top 3 snowfalls I have seen in my lifetime hit in that period. The other top 3 was Dec 3rd so the 3 biggest snows here all hit outside climo which I consider the last week of Dec till mid Feb....

This winter has been absolute garbage. Only thing I’ve seen were some wet flakes mixed in with rain one day. That’s it. Even the “extreme” cold snaps that were supposed to last days on end were one or two days and were actually normal cold. This one coming Tuesday/Wednesday y has even moderated to the point that it might be 5-8° below normal, if that. What a complete waste of time this so called winter has been.

Tomorrow afternoon should be fun, squall line possible with some strong winds...temps from 60 to 30 fast with snow showers possible a few hrs after it was 55-60.....

FV3 GFS has 4 days next week in he 70s for us. Spring is rapidly approaching! I’m ready for some warm temps and maybe some severe if we are lucky.
Without snow I want heat. Fv3 and gfs gives us a little frozen down the road and there is still time to sneak in a storm but outside of a good frozen eve t just keep it warm.
Winter yes, but that sure does look like a tropical cyclone on the NC coast! It really cranked up overnight with an amazing appearance on radar. I guess it's some kind of tiny, wound-up nor'easter.

79 today.....sure sign some winter weather is on the way.....several of the biggest snows ever here occurred late Feb early Mar after warm first half of Febs....One storm came 2-3 days after we had 75 degree heat and thunderstorms....I am optimistic we see a few more shots at accumulating snow before mid March.
