Yeah down east not going to lie if the gfs is right pittcojnty could be rocked with some epic rates. I suspect on the gfs run we stay 50-80% snow the entire time... it's not playing games with rates

We have done this enough years and seen enough of these systems to know the climo trends. It will most likely tick north one more time, then settle a bit south. There will be more mixing than forecast, especially near the SC boarder. Still seems like a solid system for most.
Temps after the event need to be a focal point. Looks like around 96 hours below freezing and some of that in the single digits!! Prepare now!
We'll be lucky to see 2 to 3 inches of snow as we sit for hours waiting for the sleet to change to snow.
Shag, didn't you move?
Yeah but not far. Maybe 20 miles further west by the way the crow flies. I moved from east central pitt to west central pitt county. Today is my son's first birthday and we need to bring this storm home for him!!!
Even if it's all sleet we still get 6" it will just be all sleet. The cold air is legit and the low track will be far enough offshore, the baroclinic forcing will be more ENE....watch what I tell ya....PGV will go 6-12 there will be mixing issues maybe but it won't be enough or that big of a deal. Sunday night we go below zero for only the second time in my life. WPC thinking more than 4" here.....

Hi hi. Looks like no change in my 4-6" thinking from last night ... "Lows have a habit of tracking closer to the coastline than modeled, which too often triggers p-type issues." Oh man, have gone through this so many times in Maryland, D.C., and Delaware.
It's difficult enough to get rock-solid cold air in MD/DC/DE before a storm, but down here? Crimany, it's like you need a grand alignment of the planets, lol! All eyes on the thermometer tomorrow.
