Winds picking up pretty good here gusts in the 30-35 range and sustained about 15-20mph. Driving home I ran through a few individual cells embedded within this rain shield and saw a few 40-45mph gusts that pushed my car to the edge of the road. Pretty crazy weather to drive 50 miles in.

Several tornado warnings continue to be issued along the coast. Hope everyone is safe down that way. Just had a BIG GUST as a small embedded cell moved through, I would estimate 40mph on that one it made the windows whistle! Pouring rain and according to HRRR winds should continue to increase through about 2am then begin tapering off.

Just had an intense little band move through! Winds were ripping and the flag pole outside was going crazy! These embedded cells pack a punch if you get under one, they're mixing down some of the stronger winds aloft. Definitely getting the occasional gusts in the 30-40 range every few mins now
Any rain measurements? Bozart how much do you have?
10:38 p.m. at Bozart Farm 2.51" day total plus .37" yesterday = 2.88" event total so far
Fountain Store readings: 2.58" day total, 3.25" event total raining at a rate of .55"/hr., but has been averaging about .75"/hr for the past two hours. NE winds averaging 11 mph -- high gust 27 so far.

Drove from Wendell back to Greenville from 8:40-9:40. Drove around the neighborhood in GVille around 9:50 and the ditches were very close to overflowing into the roads (this has happened once in 6 years of being here. Actually remember there being tons of huge whirlpools from the drains in the ditches ) im sure there are over the roads now

Nice! Sounds like 3-4" total for today and 4-6" for storm total across the area. I'm seeing radar estimates of 8-12" down near the coast like the HRRR showed. Getting ready to have another band roll through interested to see what kind of rates and winds it brings.
