I'm officially over this miserable hot disgusting summer. The humidity this year has been ridiculous. I guess that's what 18 months of higher than normal rainfall gets ys. A super wet ground and plenty of moisture to go around.
Give us a few hurricanes to track then bring on fall and the cool weather.

If we keep having these El Niño patterns consistently then we will probably continue to have these extremely humid summers. I'm personally ready for the fall weather and cooler temperatures as well. I don't have much hope for winter but maybe we can get a good hurricane or two to track.

Finally some storm chances today and the next several days as the cold front slowly drifts through the area. I'm hoping we see widespread activity and a few severe storms as well but not holding my breath. After this it looks dry again for a LONG time on the GFS.
Yeah, just to update my previous post…the storm that affected my neighborhood this afternoon knocked the Fountain computer off the air, just as every drop of rain or puff of breeze always seems to do, so minutes ago I made my way up there and got the thing re-started. I found that .40" had fallen in Fountain today (at a maximum rate of 6.00"/hr., so that four tenths fell fast) -- while, to repeat, at my house, just 2.6 miles west of there, I received
On my way into work I came across puddles and wet ground about 3 miles from the house.
What is this water you speak of? Lol all the storms formed along the coast again today. Bozart I'm not too far from you now, I'm just southwest of Macclesfield on Webb Lake road if you're familiar with this area.
I've acclimated to the heat and can tolerate a good amount of it. A day that doesn't reach 90F is now a "cool day", lol. I don't eeeeeven want to think about winter. :-)
