Well winter is officially over and the trees are alive!
This March has been memorable across the Sotheast already. There have been multiple small tornado outbreaks already. One EF4 tornado killed over 20 people.
Today actually may bring some severe action up our way. Hrrr has a cluster of semi-discreet cells moving into central NC into semi-unstable air. Could be a brief spin up or two across the area.
Probably not worth starting it’s own severe thread but could be an active day.

Here is the latest HRRR for this afternoon. You can see the updraft helicity (rotation) is weak but it’s there. Hrrr only has about 500-800mlcape this afternoon. If the sun comes out and we get above 1000mlcape we could see a legit supercell or two.
Could see some gust to 40-50 mph if this low really cranks up tomorrow afternoon.....NAM was very aggressive with sustained 30ish and 50+ gust over a lot of eastern NC
PGV ended up with .89" from the Monday noreaster, doppler has me at closer to 1.5-2" and it looked like I had 2", need to get my rain gauge replaced it froze and leaks now....the east side of the county looks to have averaged 1-2"

I wound up with only .57" from the nor'easter. Also, today's system is vastly under-performing so far -- only .02" as of 2:00 p.m.

Almost midnight now, and I'm still sitting on .02".
