Yeah, I discussed that image with Shaggy yesterday. Four things: 1) It looks suspiciously familiar from a past event. 2) The man who posted it claims his brother took the shot along Hwy. 64 in Zebulon, but I don't know anyplace on that freeway where there's a house that close to the road. It looks like a residential shot. 3) Any Zebulon tornado yesterday would have occurred during the peak of daylight hours, but this looks like a twilight photo. And 4) I'm starting to wonder about the lack of corroborating images, to say nothing of video, out of a broad-daylight tornado -- one that highly visible, in a populated area.
Maybe it's on the up-and-up. I can't prove anything either way. Just raising questions.
EDIT: On the other hand, NWS Raleigh does confirm a 17.4-mile tornado track yesterday, from Knightdale to Bailey, and it passed through the south side of Zebulon. Surely some video will eventually emerge. (Wish to heck I'd been there.) /photo/2
From the Greenville medical district (west side of town): heralded by a long period of constant thunder, a brief but intense storm rolled through with heavy rain and small hail.

So looks like Pitt co got slammed yesterday according to radar...what did yall get? We had two hail hailstorms in fuquay. First had pea size hail fall for like 5 minutes with very little rain...second was quarter size but with very heavy rain and gusty winds...maybe 40 mph. Another great storm. Third good storm this spring...plus a awesome winter t storm.

I had a good couple of storms on Thursday that were under severe levels at my house but gust to 40ish. Yesterday we had a good hailer here. Biggest hail I've seen since that storm that you me and Ron chased north of greenville 10 years or so. The one where yall parked next to the pond.
