So we are half way through with August and we are coming down the home stretch. Wpc has us in a general 3 to 4 inch totals over the next week so I'm sure there will be some winners and losers. Hurricane season has been dull with a bunch wasted names. Nothing really in the long range models to get excited about tropical wise either.
Another night of heavy storms in Greenville. Close to 2 inches at my house and the stove clock was blinking and my wife said they lost power overnight.
We have had some incredibly wet years recently. Pgv came within an inch or so of our all time record rainfall two years in a row and this year is no slouch. We are over 40+ inches already and at the rate it's raining we could be pushing 60+ inches by the end of the year again.
If this is climate change then at least we are wet and stormy and not turning into a desert.

I’m ready for fall, the cool temps we saw this week made me ready to get rid of summer and experience the cooler weather. Winter could be fun if the stars align like things are indicating.

Just no more frozen-over Tar River or busted pipes, pretty please!
Let's have multiple one-footers, each falling at a balmy 26 degrees.
What a storm last night. Just over 3 inches at my house and the lightning was insane. Looking at Doppler there were much heavier totals not too far east of me and a weird dry spot over northwestern pitt county that barely had any rain at all the last 2 days.
