Outside the NAM the other globals are coming in much wetter for the storm. CMC is now spitting out .50 in qpf but some of that is rain, the German shows .1-.2 qpf for Eastern NC and a max of .50 in western NC and the UK detailed maps I’ll post shortly when they’re out.
Had a line of snow showers .over through about 530 this morning. As for Wednesday's event, AKQ is thinking T-1" with possibility of more. Their high temp for the day is 35 which is a lot less than TEC which says 46.

Really looking like we will be rain to snow and well I doubt very much if that happens as modeled that anyone from PGV south see's much more than a dusting to a inch.....need the timing to slow down 6 hrs or the coastal to form and slowly move NE after the cold has filtered in...what we really need is the NAM cold to be right and then all the models reverse the QPF trend which saw them go from a .50" to almost nothing or in some cases actually nothing for us.

UK is juicy with .4 in qpf right over PGV to RDU and .2 to .3 for most of the state. Very cold with -5 to -10C at 850 and 32F or below at the surface. I think most areas start as light rain then quickly transition to all snow.

Euro just moved towards the UK too with the precip further SE and colder temps, solid 2-3" for Pitt Co and points N and W, and these ratios are all 10:1 and we should do a bit better maybe 12-15:1 with the cold 850's so .if we can just get another .20" QPF involved then we are looking at warning criteria event.....right now most models have .10-.30" of QPF over us.....if we can get that up to 30-.50" of QPF it would be 4"+ snow.....so once again we are right on the edge of a dusting to inch versus 4-6", thus is life in the coastal plains of NC in winter.

Why can't we ever get more than 1 inch of snow here? When I lived in wilson it was big snow after big snow...no problem. Ugggg...I better be surprised this time!!
