Slight risk up for western NC and new update may expand that east some... Tomorrow we are also in a marginal risk but I expect part of NC to be upgraded to a slight risk also if the convection tonight clears up.

Slight risk area was to small today should have included central and coastal NC and north half of SC
small hail core just to my south per nexrad. Should catch a good part of the core i hope.
Any luck?
Ron thanks for posting that link, some of those pics had more hail on the ground than snow/ice all winter lol. At Best Buy in Knightdale I was working as the storms rolled through, just heavy rain and thunder but had quite a few customers from the Raleigh area say they ran into some hail.

Nope storm split and worst core went east of me over eastern pitt. Lots of rain and thunder but no lightning within 5 miles of me. Outside of the tornadic storm in feb I haven't seen any real storms here.

Looks like a low cape HIGH shear environment today which in my experience usually struggle to perform well but SPC is extremely Strong mentioning supercells and the whole 9 yards...
We will see as this is a very dynamic system and not the normal storms driven by the sun and destabilization
Yeah SPC discussion is worded pretty strongly with phrases like "storms will likely be severe" and talking about possible MCS development or a line segment. They mention a tornado threat for Eastern NC also.

Severe thunderstorm watch was just issued with main threats being hail and wind with isolated tornadoes. It sounds like they expect quite a few supercells to form also.

I have no confidence in getting storms here. Just doesn't seem to work out for me here the last few weeks and my bet is that trend continues. Good luck out west where there was more sun than here.
Nasty storm just to my west. Supercell structure trying to take hold, looks like it will miss me south though.
Its starting to sort of roll to the right a little so I thought I might get lucky and it hold a due east heading but it is now south of due east movement.
