So what do you folks that are more knowledgeable about mesoscale features think will happen up my way into Hampton Roads?
Here’s how I see it playing out. Nam has the 850 low track across CAE to ILM. Assuming that’s correct it would put the best lift in the black and red circles I added here. The red is the area where I believe the transition zone will be and just north of it in the black is the area that should be mostly snow and has the chance to see the highest amounts.

To illustrate Snow's point the 850MB frontgen maps show that lift and forcing well.....this will cause deep banding and heavier snow....
Then a few hrs later as the 850 low moves out we get the 700MB forcing rotating through in the classic pivot rotating the band of heavier snow right over central eastern NC, this would be better rates and temps at the surface would be getting down in the 26-28 range with more of a powder type snow falling....

I think it’s telling the full 18z suite trended towards the NAM idea. The HRRRX is impressive too at the end of its run. Widespread 30-40dbz returns which tells me once the atmosphere saturates it will be dumping.
