So our rainy spell has ended. I know some of you nearby saw frog stranglers, which managed to miss me...but I still received modest, daily rains on all 7 days ending June 12th -- exactly 3 inches in all -- so it was a good week. Good for the farmers. The tobacco looks strong.
It thundered and rained constantly at my house last night for more than 9 hours straight. Can't even remember the last time that happened. 2.03" event total here. Bigger totals just south of me where the cores trained. (I was mostly in anvil stratiform.)

Looks like a good chance of storms tomorrow. The HRRR has a good bit of activity and anyone who gets under one should pick up a solid .5" or more. Looks like the Greenville area got some heavy storms this evening.

Have to admit I’m LOVING the cooler weather over the last few days. I wish it was our permanent change toward fall but looks like we have another period of hit weather coming our way.
Can’t wait for fall and winter over here in the mountains!
