Last panel from the latest HRRR.....can we say round 2, if this pans out we will probably have at or above our normal yearly snowfall before winter even begins this year....pretty rare territory....
Yeah I am in that drawn circle in fact some of those lightning strikes are just over to the west of my house by a mile or two. No hail here but the wind really ramped up on the back side of that convection.
Lets hope the NAM 3K makes up for missing the snow last night by being right about tomorrow night on the 18Z run
Backed way off on this one so it looks like some scattered snow showers tomorrow and then back to some warm weather. Models looking cold in the long range and they did good with this system for 10 days or better.
Models are back and forth with the ULL they usually are as they are notoriously hard to predict.....expect nothing and then be happy if we manage to get accumulations again.
The radar below shows an expanding snowfield including snow over most of Pitt County except the Greenville area. Snow to the west, snow to the east, but not here. Not yet anyway. Should start seeing it by 8pm at the latest.

To bad that couldnt have been all snow, we got much more precip than anticipated and if it had been even half snow we would have gotten 2-3"
For sure..I kept waiting for the R/S line to creep east. I halfway expected to wake up this morning with at least a dusting. Nope. Have to take the 2" I got and be happy until the next one. (Which may be around Christmas according to fantasy land long range model solutions)
